Original Fine Art & Wearable Imagery by Ford & Fluty
We are a partnership of creative force. I am Brian Ford. And I am Theresa Fluty. As fine artists and writers, our work is informed by our consistent love of life. Although we use different language to express our understanding of love, we share an insight into the underlying vibration or ‘ai ki’ of the universe that we express through our artwork. It is love/vibration that informs our vision and guides us on our journey as fine artists.
Brian Ford: Finding Deeper Truth Through Sacred Art & Symbolism
When I was a boy, I was shy and often felt anxious and overwhelmed by everything around me. Finding art gave me a safe space to escape and express myself. It helped me feel stronger, letting me use my imagination to make the world feel less intimidating.
As I got older and tried new styles, I was drawn to expressionism. I realized it goes beyond showing what something looks like; it’s about revealing the deeper psychological truth of the subject. Moreover, it allows the viewer to find their personal psychological truth through contemplating the artwork.
Today, it is this underlying truth that I seek to reveal. I channel my lifelong journey into fine art collections of Christian surrealism and sacred symbolism. Through completed painting series exploring the saints and ancient scriptural mysteries, I use my artwork to invite viewers into a space of quiet meditation, prayer, and deep contemplation.
Theresa Fluty: Personal Surreal Art & Exclusive Graphic Tees
In high school, my sophomore-year art teacher called me to his desk at the end of the period. “Theresa, did you use a ruler to make the edge of this table?” he asked, indicating the drawing I had handed in for our assignment. “No, I didn’t”, I stammered. He looked at me, looked at my drawing, and said that he didn’t believe me. He would have to fail this assignment as the instructions included drawing lines without a ruler.
Without recognizing it, that moment closed me off to art and being an artist. I took a decades-long winding path back to enjoying art and to finding my art superpower. For that long-ago assignment, I had not used a ruler. I had put our rotary phone at an angle to the edge of the dining room table and drawn the phone with a portion of the table. My drawing was good. It looked exact. Frankly, I was stunned. Who knew I could draw?
My path back to art really began with Aikido, a physical art. One that required me to feel the energy of life and see vibrational patterns. I know nothing formal or education-based about painting. That’s my superpower. I learned to feel energy and see vibration so that I can use my natural talent to paint what I see.
Today, I channel this superpower into two distinct expressions: deeply personal, psychological surreal art paintings for collectors, and cool, exclusive images painted specifically to be worn as original graphic t-shirts—art items for gift-givers that you truly cannot find anywhere else on the internet.
